Last year, I gathered women from #StrongWomenWrite, the unique literary organization I founded for women who wanted to write better fight scenes and take their projects beyond the book. Our discussion about the impact we wanted to have going forward resulted in the creation of an Anthology to showcase the strength of women, not their pain. (Nicole Evelina’s write-up, bestselling author and a sister in St. Louis, can be read here.)
The anthology will pair fictional works of women writers, alongside real accounts of women who have escaped trafficking, aged out of orphanages, or survived other such adversities, showcasing strength, and its more subtle often overlooked, sister, resilience.
We hope the anthology serves as a vehicle, expanding into a project creating economic opportunities for these women and spaces for them to live.
Great things happen when women gather.
Will you be one of them?
